Quality is not an act - It’s a habit

We strive to provide the best surveys possible - because you cannot make an informed decision until you know the condition of the vessel.

Inspecting the hull and running gear is best done while she’s up in the slings…

A nicely waxed hull always makes for a great first impression…

A nicely waxed hull always makes for a great first impression…

A well maintained hull with equally well maintained running gear gives a potential buyer a great first impression. It also helps the boat perform better and consume less fuel. On the contrary - a poorly maintained hull gives pause to a potential buyer, and may also cause your insurance carrier to pause.

So what is a Hull Survey?

The Hull Survey is more than an inspection of the hull (above and below the waterline) for soundness, wear, damage and water intrusion.

The survey also includes an inspection of the vessels running gear, navigation electronics, electrical systems (including monitoring systems), plumbing, heating and air conditioning systems and all of the other important systems on the boat. The survey also include a cursory inspection of engines and related mechanical systems. Lastly - a hull survey should include a sea trial to make sure the vessel runs and operates in a safe and reliable manner.
